Luke Heidt is the founder and owner of Wisconsin Hemp Flower, one of WI’s fastest-growing small-batch hemp producers. Its goal is to get better, not bigger, and it’s been steadily working toward that goal since the farm opened in 2018.
One of the things we love about this company is that Luke has documented his entire journey on a WordPress blog. He made detailed entries regarding his first planting and harvest while meticulously showing every step of the process. Whether you’re planning to grow your own hemp, or are just interested in the process, we recommend taking a look.
At the time of writing, it has been a year (almost to the day) since Luke last posted. That’s understandable, though, as it’s been a crazy time for everyone and he’s clearly been busy growing, harvesting, and selling his flowers.
Hemp Flower Varietals
Although Wisconsin Hemp Flower doesn’t have a wide selection of hemp flowers, they’re all grown organically and are available in large quantities for reasonable prices. Strains and availability vary from season to season, and there are big discounts for seeded flowers and shake.
Available strains include the following:
- Suver Haze: A Southern Oregon strain that thrives throughout the United States and was bred to produce high levels of CBD. It’s a great starting strain that can be enjoyed by experienced smokers as well.
- Lifter: Uplifting, energizing, and social, Lifter is an excellent and dependable strain found in most dispensaries.
- T2: Dense and strong-smelling, this strain comes highly recommended by Wisconsin Hemp Flower.
- Sour Space Candy: At the time of compiling this review, Wisconsin Hemp Flower was offering a free 1g of Sour Space Candy with every order. It’s a great deal, and the perfect opportunity to taste one of the industry’s most distinctive strains. It typically contains more seeds than their other strains but has a strong, sour, and slightly sweet taste that makes it worthwhile.
In 2020, Wisconsin Hemp Flower introduced CBG Bubble Hash, an exciting addition to its growing range. This reasonably priced ice water extract is a great way to sample CBG and is available for just $60 per 10g bag. Resin concentrates, shake, and hemp salves are also available.
